Made well. Built to last.

At Browne’s Joinery, we understand that creating beautiful buildings takes expertise, skill and care. We have an eye for what made these buildings unique in the first place, exact proportions, high-end materials and detailed architectural design, and we have the knowledge and ability to create new work with the same level of care.

With a master joiner at the helm and a talented team behind him, everything we produce is thoughtfully designed and expertly crafted to look beautiful, function as it should and stand the test of time.

Browne’s Joinery was founded by Ciaran Browne, who brings more than a decade of experience in traditional joinery and millwork to each project. His work reflects a deep respect for design, detail, material, and architectural history. Ciaran is a graduate from Algonquin College’s Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program, as well as a member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP).

Blending modern performance with historic craftsmanship.

Joinery is the art of constructing functional wood components by precisely cutting, fitting, and connecting individual pieces of timber together.

In our workshop, this means creating custom windows, doors, frames, and other architectural elements made match each building. Traditional joinery techniques provide strength, longevity and performance while allowing us to reproduce historic profiles, accommodate unusual openings, and preserve the character and styles of older properties.

Millwork encompasses the custom wood elements that shape and finish the interior or exterior of a building.

It includes details such as mouldings, casings, trim, panelling, baseboards, mantels, and built-in features. These elements create transitions between surfaces, frame important architectural openings, and help establish the visual language of a space.

Whether we are faithfully reproducing an original profile or developing new details for a contemporary project, our millwork is designed to feel considered, cohesive, and appropriate to its surroundings.
